MackmyraWeblog van zaterdag 28 augustus Sweden is the only EU country allowed to have a government monopoly on alcohol. But therefore the EU has ruled that at Göteborg airport (or any other Swedish airport) alcohol is not for sale for internal EU flights. And therefore I cannot buy the excellent Swedish Mackmyra whisky which they sell here in at least four or five different expressions. Should I say thank you to the EU for protecting me against the Systembolaget monopoly? Monopolies are daft, but so are silly rules that would turn the most pro-European into a Eurosceptic.
